A New Book to Read & Review.
Just received a copy of Jeffry D. Wert's new book "A Glorious Army: Robert E. Lee's Triumph 1862-1863" from Simon & Schuster to review here on the blog. I am looking forward to another good read from Mr. Wert. Stay tuned....
Most interesting and well constructed blog. I found particularly interesting the link to the story on Texas choosing to ignore Civil War anniversary. A good antidote to their general attitude and present governors threat of "secession" is contained in the book 1861 - The Civil War Awakening. I'll look forward to checking back to your take on a The Gorious Army although a more realistic and accurate title might have been A Good Army Well Led In A Really Bad Cause.
Looking forward to your review.
